Walking through Amy & Joel's First Date Downtown Ottawa

When Amy & Joel told me they wanted to have their engagement session location the same spot as their first date I was very eager to hear what we would be doing and where we would be going! We started at the bar Social downtown in the courtyard. I love this little piece of downtown as it’s pretty private and you are surrounded by stone walls. We then walked toward Major Hill Park. I love this area of downtown as well, as you can get those clean white backdrops with the Chateau Laurier and also beautiful gardens with lots of colour. During Fall there are so many pretty autumn colours in this park. We then headed to the Alexandra Bridge. This was my first time photographing here and I absolutely loved it. The sunset was perfect over the bridge and we had such a pretty view. We even somehow managed to get in a music video from a group walking by.... haha.

I don’t think I have ever laughed so much during an engagement session. I had so much fun with these two! Such kind, fun, easy going people who just know how to have a good time. I loved capturing their love story and I cannot wait to continue with the next chapter of their lives on their wedding day in 2020!
