One of the best parts about being a photographer is getting the opportunity to explore and travel all over Canada and the world! However, photographing Kat and Peter right downtown Ottawa last month, made me realize how much I love this beautiful city I call home!
While Peter and his groomsmen prepped at home, Kat and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done at Rinaldo's in the ByWard Market, and got ready at the Novotel! I arrived just in time to take photos of them digging into their pre-wedding fries and nuggets from McDonalds... yum!
Kat and Peter were wed in a beautiful, intimate ceremony at the Courtyard Restaurant, also located in the Byward Market, where we then had a lovely time shooting their portraits around the picture-perfect venue!
Although it was raining for most of the day, and the groom accidentally ripped his pants while getting ready, the newlyweds were nothing but smiles throughout the entire day! Luckily, the Courtyard had the absolute best layout for pictures in the rain! Aren't their portraits under the archway fabulous?!
Overall, Kat and Peter planned their wedding to suit their personalities perfectly! Each member of the bridal party (including the bride and groom!) wore matching sets of Converse sneakers: gold pairs for Kat, pink for her bridesmaids, and blue with flamingos for the groom and his groomsmen! Another fun moment was when Kat arrived to the ceremony in a horse and carriage!
This perfect day ended with a cake fight started by the bride and groom, and lots and lots of laughs! Thank you, Kat and Peter, for allowing me to be a part of your special day
