This gorgeous venue is located 45 minutes outside Ottawa, ON. If you are looking for a classy, elegant country style wedding Stonefields Estate is your wedding venue! Not only is it beautiful but the staff here are incredible to work with. The amount of love, passion and attention to detail they give all their couples is amazing. They truly want you to have the best day possible for you and go above and beyond for all their couples.

BRIDE & GROOM PREPARATION

The bride and bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done off site and then got dressed and ready at the Farmhouse at Stonefields Estate.

Hair was done by Pärla Hair and makeup by Melissa Makeup.

The girls had the cutest robes from Never Knew I Needed. Which is located right in Ottawa.

Monica had the most incredible attention to detail on her wedding day. There were so many special gifts and very memorable moments throughout out the day. Monica & Zach really made everyone a part of their day feel extra special.

FIRST TOUCH

If you aren’t sure about doing a “first look”, you can always consider doing a “first touch” with your partner. This is a special, private time for just the two of you. It can calm nerves, get you even more excited for the ceremony, and you could also read private vows to one another as well.

CEREMONY

The ceremony was held in front of the farmhouse (outside) at Stonefields Estate. There are many areas at the property to have your ceremony but this location is probably my favourite. The lighting is always pretty, I love the stone building as the backdrop, being out in nature and you can make this space as unique as you want or just leave it how it is. You can’t go wrong!

MONICA & ZACH’S LOVE STORY

“Zach and I met on Bumble. We had our first date at Ali Rang on December 27, 2019. While this first date may have been cut short due to an ambulance ride for Zach and quite a funny story, our second date made up for it. This was a date that neither of us wanted to end. It started at the National Gallery of Canada, followed by coffee and a walk around downtown Ottawa. We spent New Year's together, hopeful that 2020 was going to be our year. The year that should have been filled with celebrations and adventures slowed down to a halt, but in hindsight was the best time of our relationship. We both treasure the time we got to spend together in that first summer of the pandemic, as it allowed us to spend more quality time with each other that we wouldn't have had otherwise.

Once the pandemic started to improve, we certainly made up for lost time. We have jumped on opportunities to travel, visiting New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Arizona, Mexico, and soon Italy for our Honeymoon. We love spending time with friends and family, going to concerts, cooking at home and walking our golden retriever. We have also been lucky enough to be first time home owners this year and are spending lots of time learning. We are just getting started and are very excited about what’s next!”
