A Beautiful Modern Wedding at Ricarda’s in Toronto
Emma & Quin got married in the Summer of August 2023 and it was such a beautiful wedding day. As I am usually shooting in Ottawa ON, Toronto was so much fun to be at. We started the day at One King West Hotel and the views from so high up were lovely. It’s a beautiful hotel if you’re looking for a spot to get ready at! Hair and makeup were done here as well and there was so much space.
We then headed out for Emma & Quin’s first look which was so emotional and such a special moment for them both. Their wedding party shortly met up with us and we took photos on the streets of Toronto. The downtown vibe was so perfect for their day. (Read the bottom of the blog for their love story).
After photos we headed to Ricarda’s for their ceremony and where dinner / reception would take place. The architecture at Ricarda’s is so unique and makes for such a great ceremony space. One of my favourite moments I have ever captured is Emma walking down the aisle and her mom smiling at her and Quin’s mom smiling at him. It’s so cute and I find that moment says so much. The flowers for their arch were also stunning. The vibrant colours and candle lite gave such a beautiful ceremony piece.
The evening was so much fun with everyone together, with amazing food, speeches, dances. The atmosphere couldn’t have been better.
Cheers to Emma + Quin!

Their Love Story
We met some time in our second year of law school (2015); neither of us can remember exactly when. Although the first time we ever laid eyes on one another was in September of our first year on the St. Clair West subway station platform. We were both carrying our torts textbooks, not so much studious as last minute law students. Quin referred to Emma as Torts Girl until they learned each other's names.
We began dating in our final semester of law school. Emma would be articling in Ottawa, while Quin would do his articles in Toronto. After 10 months apart, Quin moved to Ottawa and joined Emma. We lived in a small apartment in the Byward Market before moving to the Hintonburg area. In 2021, we moved into our first home in Westboro.
Quin proposed at the Manoir Hovey hotel in Quebec, overlooking Lac Massawippi. Emma said yes!
